DIARY Oct. 5, 6 and 7, 2012

Friday
Oct. 5, 2012
17 degrees Celsius
The day started off cloudy.  By the time are open at noon, the sun is out.
A beautiful cool, crisp Fall day.

We specifically told Pepsi to remove their fridge not during our busy lunch service.
And what time do they show up?  12:10pm, right at the beginning of our lunch service when customers are filing in.  We asked them to come back after 2pm and they disappeared without returning.

The chef created a new Special of the Day
Rustic mash of herbed sweet potato, layered between crispy baked sheets of phyllo pastry, served with sundried tomato sauce, stir-fried rice noodles and ginger sesame vinaigrette dressed garden mix salad with.

A customer had the phyllo pastry rustic mash and the tomato sauce spilled all over her lap.  There goes a free lunch!

Saturday
Oct. 6, 2012
Open for dinner only
A quieter Saturday then usual.

So happy to see a Chinese family with grandpa, grandma, mother & father, son and daughter, in for dinner.  Sometimes the older generation Chinese finds our Asian inspired menu a bit of a surprise.  I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed their dinner.  Our non Chinese server even delighted them with a few words in Cantonese.

Sunday
Oct. 7, 2012
Closed to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday.
